Coastal Craftsman by Jessica Miller

One of my latest projects Archway Properties just hit the market! This 2 story craftsman is in the Historic Kingman Place just off University. The main floor boasts a knocked out wall in the kitchen to expand the space into the dining room. Exposed brick, quartz counters, with an extremely functional peninsula, new paint lighting and flooring throughout. Check out the before and afters. Couldn’t be more pleased about how this property turned out.

TOP 17 IN 2017 by Jessica Miller

Twenty seventeen has been quite the year. Thanks to new and repeat clients, I staged 52 homes (35 last year) all while being pregnant and being new to motherhood. It's been a wild ride thanks to Des Moines real estate. Can't wait to see what twenty eighteen brings!

Happy New Year to all!

Here's my top 17 of the year.

Impressive Kitchen Flip - 4120 Muskogee Ave by Jessica Miller

When a lime green kitchen gets flipped and reversed to maximize every inch of the space. Check out the impressive makeover below.

4327 Greenwood Drive by Jessica Miller

The renovation of this super-sized, South of Grand Tudor home began last Fall . This home has only had one other owner since 1927 which is super impressive nowadays. Fortunately, she had great bones but needed some major modernizing love.  Five months later, we are pleased to put her back on the Des Moines' market.

As you will notice in the picture below the kitchen was the biggest overhaul.  Unfortunately, I was unable to get a before demo photo but let's just say it was very sad and drab. We added a breakfast bar/serving area to bring in more natural light. Installed glass cabinetry and picked clean, bright finishes to make the previously closed and dark space feel more spacious and bright.

The rest of the house just needed gallons of paint, new flooring, lighting and a bunch of other stuff that was too boring/frustrating to document.  This Tudor was a total labor of love and I can't wait til a lucky family gets to make it their home.

8276 Aspen Drive by Jessica Miller

Last Thursday, I staged this new modern home in the West Des Moines on Aspen Drive. I got to go with a more masculine look to match it's city loft look.  It was definitely fun to stray from the all white/neutral look that I usually choose to balance the home.  Unfortunately for you, this listing sold already on Saturday.

5822 Waterbury Road by Jessica Miller

Last week, I staged a charming home in Waterbury with an amazing outdoor living space.  I am kicking myself for not taking photos before the client painted their walls, because before they were mid-yellow with red accents.  I recommended for them to paint my favorite color - Sherwin Williams Modern Grey.  It's so incredible how paint can transform a home.  Check out the before and afters of this simple and quick stage. 1660 SE Greenbriar Circle by Jessica Miller

Last week, I was asked to stage a Waukee home that has been on the market for over a little over a month.  The home has great bones but it just needed a minor furniture and home accessory refresh to help it show better to potential buyers. Check out my before and afters.

2424 30th Property Stage Before & Afters by Jessica Miller

Last week, Rochelle Burnett of Keller Williams asked me to help stage her new listing in Beaverdale.  This home did not require any of my furniture. All I did was rearrange furniture and declutter. The results are pretty drastic by executing such a simple concept.  Check out the before and afters below.

422 38th St Pl Home Staging Before & After by Jessica Miller

Jim Baehr of Iowa Realty recently contacted me to help stage a couple of homes for his clients. The beautiful, classic home was built in 1920.  The owners have done several recent updates including the kitchen and all new bathrooms just to name a few. The living room, entry way and dining room was budgeted for the stage of this empty home.  Check out the before and after and the full listing here
